The Power Of The Blood Of Christ

We have redemption through the Blood of Christ.  “Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption” (Heb. 9:12).

“In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace” (Eph. 1:7).

“And they sang a new song, saying: ‘You are worthy to take the scroll, and to open its seals; for You were slain, and have redeemed us to God by Your blood out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation’” (Rev. 5:9).

We have remission of sins through the Blood of Christ.  “For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins” (Matt. 26:28).

“And according to the law almost all things are purified with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no remission” (Heb. 9:22).

We are sanctified through the Blood.  “Therefore Jesus also, that He might sanctify the people with His own blood, suffered outside the gate” (Heb. 13:12).

“Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose, will he be thought worthy who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, counted the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified a common thing, and insulted the Spirit of grace?” (Heb. 10:29).

We have forgiveness of sins through the Blood.  “In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace” (Eph. 1:7).

“In whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins” (Col. 1:14).

We are cleansed through the Blood of Christ.  “But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin” (1 John 1:7).

“How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?” (Heb. 9:14).

We are reconciled to God and have peace with Him through the Blood of Christ.  “And by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross” (Col. 1:20).

“Being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed” (Rom. 3:24-25).

We have been washed by the Blood.  “And from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler over the kings of the earth.   To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood” (Rev. 1:5).

“And I said to him, ‘Sir, you know.’  So he said to me, ‘These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb’” (Rev. 7:14).

We have been made kings and priests through the Blood.  “…To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood, and has made us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever.  Amen” (Rev. 1:5-6).

We overcome the devil through the Blood.  “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death” (Rev. 12:11).

We are justified by the Blood of Christ.  “Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him” (Rom. 5:9).

We have life as we drink the Blood.  “Then Jesus said to them, ‘Most assuredly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you.  Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.  For My flesh is food indeed, and My blood is drink indeed.  He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him’” (John 6:53-56).

We enter into the holiest by the Blood.  “Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus…” (Heb. 10:19).

The Blood of Christ is described as a fountain open for sin and uncleanness.  “In that day a fountain shall be opened for the house of David and for the inhabitants of Jerusalem, for sin and for uncleanness” (Zech. 13:1).

The Blood of Christ is called the cup of blessing.  “The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ?  The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?” (1 Cor. 10:16).

We are brought near to God by the Blood.  “But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ” (Eph. 2:13).

Christ’s Blood is incorruptible and precious.  “Knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold…but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot” (1 Pet. 1:18-19).

We are purchased by Christ’s Blood.  “Therefore take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood” (Acts 20:28).

Christ’s Blood is the Blood of the new covenant, shed for us.  “Likewise He also took the cup after supper, saying, ‘This cup is the new covenant in My blood, which is shed for you’” (Luke 22:20).

Christ’s Blood is the Blood of the everlasting covenant.  “Now may the God of peace who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant” (Heb. 13:20).

The Blood bears witness to Jesus as the Son of God.  “This is He who came by water and blood – Jesus Christ; not only by water, but by water and blood.  And it is the Spirit who bears witness, because the Spirit is truth.  For there are three that bear witness in heaven:  the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one.  And there are three that bear witness on earth:  the Spirit, the water, and the blood; and these three agree as one” (1 John 5:6-8).

Christ’s Blood is the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things.  “To Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things than that of Abel” (Heb. 12:24).

Christ’s Blood atones for our sin.  “For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood that makes atonement for the soul” (Lev. 17:11).
