The Coming Again Of Christ Draws Nearer
Therefore, Let Us:
…Not forget that the nobleman in the parable, representing the Lord Jesus, said: "Occupy till I come" (Luke 19:13).
…Not be like the evil servant who said in his heart, "My lord delayeth his coming" (Matthew 24:48), and begin to smite our brethren as he did.
…Not fall into the error of those scoffers who will say in the last days, "Where is the promise of His coming?" and against which the Apostle Peter warned us (2 Peter 3:4).
Rather, Let Us:
…Take our stand firmly on such absolutely clear promises as these: "I will come again" (John 14:3); "This same Jesus…shall so come in like manner as ye have seen Him go into heaven" (Acts 1:11); "For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God" (1 Thessalonians 4:16); "Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh" (Matthew 24:44).
…Not be unduly disturbed by the conflicting opinions as to the details of the prophetic program, but look eagerly and lovingly forward to the coming of our Savior, remembering that "there is laid up…a crown of righteousness…unto all them also that love His appearing" (2 Timothy 4:8).
…Keep "looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ" (Titus 2:13).
… "Abide in Him; that, when He shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before Him at His coming" (1 John 2:28).
The coming again of Christ draws nearer!
