“Surely I Come Quickly”

    A dispensation is passing away.  It is night over the continents of this world and in the islands of the sea.  There is no peace!  And neither can there be until the dawning of that glorious Morning when the Man of Calvary will return to become the Prince of Peace, the King of kings, and Lord of lords! (Isa. 9:6; Rev. 17:14).

    Suddenly!  Without warning!  Not in an hour that we have planned but in a moment we think not!  The great event of history is about to occur.  We cannot read the Biblical account of His appearing without coming in contact with the elements of speed and rhythm.

    There will be no time to make preparation.  It was suddenly at the midnight hour when the cry came, “Behold, the Bridegroom cometh” (Matt. 25:6).  No time then to get oil in the lamps!  No time left in which to make preparation which should have been made during the days of the past.  When He comes, He will come suddenly!

    The speed of it – and the suddenness of it will catch a world unprepared and unawares!  The Lord shall suddenly come to His temple! (Mal. 3:1).

    Suddenly!  Without warning – that is how His coming will be.  There will be no warning from the skies.  Nothing but warnings such as I am trying to give now.

Instantly! Suddenly!

    Without any warning!  Heaven is prepared although the world is not!  We do not profess to know the hour.  We do not profess to be able to name the day.  But within us there is a still, small Voice that whispers, “Lift up your heads, for the hour of your redemption draweth nigh” (Luke 21:28).

    The spiritual atmosphere seems to be charged.  We can expect the unexpected.  It is possible to know deep within, the things which cannot be known.  Call it what you will, there is deep spiritual consciousness which goes deeper than intellect or reason or human understanding, that is very real to the redeemed and to those who know the voice of the Holy Spirit.

    He is coming!  He is coming suddenly!  The hour of His coming is not far away! Be ready!
