Attempt Great Things For God; Expect Great Things From Him 

    Today – do something for God!  Do it with all your heart!  Claim a promise in prayer and plead it.  Undertake something for God and for souls.  Launch out in faith.

    “The apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith” (Luke 17:5).  He replied in effect, “Use what faith you have.  Let your faith go to work.”  “If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you” (Luke 17:6).  That is more than most Christians are doing in these days of unbelief.

    Hitch your faith up to something and make it pull!  If lazy, make it work!  If weak, feed it on the promises of God.  A grain of faith, says the Lord, can work miracles!

    Let the Holy Spirit mark out a pathway of faith for you.  As you walk in it, timidity will give place to courage, and fear to faith.

    If you want faith, read the Word, pray, keep separated from the world and sin, and undertake something for God beyond yourself.  May Jesus say of you as He did of the Syrophoenician, “Great is thy faith."

    If you will set yourself to use these ways to get more faith, it may be that the Lord will bestow upon you the gift of faith as described in First Corinthians 12:9.
