Christ Is Coming
By John J. Hunt
The Holy Spirit always reveals Christ. The focus of the Bible is Jesus Christ. Its prophecies picture Christ. Its promises are ours through Christ. Its history converges around the two Advents of Christ. Its types unveil Christ. Its dispensations or ages were made by Christ (Heb. 1:2). Its tabernacle and temple vividly voiced Christ. Take Christ out of the Bible and its heart is gone. Its redemption through the blood is through the Calvary of Christ.
The content of the Midnight Cry is Christ. Not a creed – but Christ. Not an epoch – but Christ. Not a theology – but Christ. The Spirit deals with centralities. The center is Christ. Christ is all.
Attention is called to His coming: “Behold, the Bridegroom cometh.”
He surely is coming. The time is fixed. The schedule is printed; the day is known to God. Nothing can prevent it. He has pledged it in His Word. Christ’s Second Advent is as certain as the integrity of God Almighty. Even so, come!
