"Dedicated to strengthening and encouraging the Body of Christ."

The Cross Affects All Of Life

By Ted S. Rendall

As he meditated on Christ’s Cross and its meaning, the Apostle Paul saw that Christ’s death was revolutionary in its application. "The love of Christ controls us," he states, "having concluded this, that one died for all, therefore all died; and He died for all, that they who live should no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died and rose again on their behalf" (2 Cor. 5:14-15). Once accepted, the Cross and its message commit us to a radical conversion of life. Before our new birth, self was for us, the center of life. After our new birth, Christ is to be regarded as the center of life forever. The enthronement of Christ as the Lord of life truly is a revolutionary event, for it changes all of life. All of life includes our physical body and all its faculties; all our plans given over to God’s will and not our own; and placing all our possessions at His disposal.
